The OMNIMAX experience is one like no other. Sit under the four story screen and take in the breathtaking, awe-inspiring scenery in the state-of-the-art wrap around, domed theater. The images will come leaping toward you and the 1,500-watt sound system will trick you into believing you're really there. The theater also offers Rear Window open-captioning service for all films and at all show times.
The OMNIMAX is a high-fidelity, 70MM motion picture system that uses state-of-the-art technology to create amazing images of incredible clarity and impact. OMNIMAX images have much greater than the standard motion picture cameras.
The Saint Louis Science Center is consistently rated as one of the Top 5 Science Museums in the United States. A visit to the Saint Louis Science Center might include a four-story experience in the OMNIMAX® Theater, a Space Show in the James S. McDonnell Planetarium, or a stop in the Life Science Lab to help solve a fake crime. You might uncover real dinosaur bones in the Fossil Prep Lab or learn to pilot a Segway Human Transporter.
